Balanceing resistors for modulator

Postby K8TV » Wed May 28, 2003 2:33 pm

Hi Guys, I just finished stuffing the PC board for the class H modulator and have found a cheap alternative to the TO-220 packages. They fit the board perfectly, but do stick up a bit, but that is fine. They are Mouser 280-PRM10-0.47 .47 ohm at 10 watt. On page 326 in catalog 614. The TO-220 packs are about $7 apiece and these are 54 cents each in a 10 lot. They stand vertically. Ken K8TV
Have built 160, 80 and 40 meter class E fet amps and PDM and Analog modulaor. All work great!

Ken, I too found those same resistors and installed them a couple weeks ago. Also the 12vdc relays I will be using on the over current pcb are mouser # 655 V23105A5003A201 with 3A contacts. Slowly getting the rig together.
