nobody to talk to out there in the wild west? I guess everyone has been posting E discussion on amfone these days. I would like to see some activity on here again. Lots of things to discuss like the sourcing of shunt caps and the newish SiC fets.

Nope, not a soul!

At least not during the hours that I can get on. ( daylight )
There is at least one group on in the early AM ( like 4-5am to about 7am) From Oregon, Cali, etc.
But hearing them is difficult.

75 meters is trash here due to the power line interference.
Arcing poles everywhere. plus a large switch station 5 miles away that is a meca of noise.

Been wanting to get on 40m during the day, but well.... just haven't
Always seems to be something else I should be doing instead of playing.

Radio just isn't a priority lately I suppose. :-)

Some of us are still lurking. Bruce, you gave me quite a bit of help back in 2007 on the power supply for my PWM. Unfortunately, I went QRT not long after and I'm just now getting back on the air. I'm going to nearfest this weekend and will be on the lookout for parts to get back on track with a Class-E build.

Plan to be at the fester tomorrow and will look for you. Glad to help also. Should arrive late AM.

Bruce- isnt it time to move back east? We miss your strapping signal! Are you still doing any builds?

Gonna have to make another move North/Northwest before heading back east I guess Pete.

My wife is looking at jobs in Washington, Oregon etc.

Haven't been building much, unfortunately.
Have parts to build one of Jay, W1VD's newer class D designs sitting in a box right next to me. ( gathering dust)

Also have some hybrid mosfet/driver modules I've been wanting to try out for 10m class E

"maybe someday....." :-)

Peter, I think I met you, or at least saw you, briefly at the fester. I'm not as out going as some of you all in person so I mostly kept to myself but I was hanging around Steve (QIX) and Wayne (SSJ) quite a bit collecting parts and wisdom for my Class-E build. I was the grey beard in a green safari hat.

Bruce, do you have any IXDD414's left you could part with? I'm only looking for three or at least one, one for Steve's PWM output board and two for his 160/80M VFO. I realize the 614's should be a direct replacement for the now discontinued 414 but I'd like to build the PWM as designed with the 414 if possible.

I did come home with all the boards from Steve for the PWM along with the 2-phase converter kit to use my rice box as an exciter. Unfortunately, he is no longer building the mic preamp/equalizer boards and didn't have any left. I should be able to deadbug or manhattan that however.

The IXDD614 ARE IXDD414

There is absolutely no difference, except for the 614 are RoHS compliant. Hence the new part designation.

I likely do have 414's here, I know I have 6 or 8 tubes of 614.

I'll take a look tomorrow and let you know.

But really, you would never know the difference, and I see no reason not to use the 614.

ahh, thanks Bruce.. I didn't realize RoHS compliance was the only difference. Thanks.

Any update Bruce, don't mean to be a pest but it's been a bit since you said you'd "let me know".
