Here's some pics of a PWM modulator, Class-E transmitter, and RF to 2 phase converter I recently built....

In those pics above..

All schematics came (of course :D ) from Steve, WA1QIX.

Thanks Chuck, and BobbyT..

That rig is in Ohio now (well, has been since early Spring).
I built it for a fellow out there..

Just getting around to posting some pics... trying to liven up the forum a bit!

There's been so little activity here lately... :(

Beautiful work, Bruce. Looks as if you have done this before. Very clean layout -- FB OM. 73, still working outside on projects here, but Winter is coming. Vic

Hi Bruce

Looks great ....

The Sinewave generator seems small..
Is it a VFO or crystal controlled ??

Hi Wayne,
Neither one...

It takes input from a seperate transmitter, operating at 1X the frequency. ( 1 watt )
Then converts that sine wave, to 2 square wave signals 180 deg out of phase.
And has duty cycle adjustment on each.

That unit can be configured to take a vfo input, such as Steve's Hartley osc., at 2X the frequency of operation.

Bruce,
Absolutely first-class work! You've got building these things down pat...

Is that a Palstar tuning cap? Which model?

Hi Karl, thanks...

Yes, that's a Palstar C600.

550pf, 5.5kv

Last I knew RF parts was selling them for $129. (+ shipping)
And Palstar was getting $134.. $139 ? somewhere in there...

Very nice Bruce, a dual deck for 75/160.. just what I want. I may have to try and copy this. I sometimes get intimidated when I see some of Steve's layouts and his extremely short lead RF decks soldering. Your layout looks like it'll be much easier for me to accomplish.

Going to NEARfest on Friday/Sat., let's see what I can find and come home with.

Bruce,
As with all the rig pics you post, this is really neat construction.... I am curious, did you come up with a pc board for the 2 phase box ?
