kf1z Modulator ready for the rack...

Postby kf1z » Sun Jan 20, 2008 4:32 pm

Well, been threatening to get 'er done for a while, finally this week I tore my PWM modulator apart, and built it into a 3RU box 14" deep.....

Now, it's finally ready for the rack....

Now to get the front panel for the amplifier done, and drag the rack cabinet in the house!!!

I would show a pic of the inside.... but, well, the wiring is "less than show quality"...

Thanks Chuck.....

Just need to get the fingerprints, and masking tape marks off of it... and find some knobs.....

That is one of the boxes that came from "Par-Metals"..... I can only takes credit for drilling the holes!

I kept complaining about getting it done, because the modulator, the amplifier, the modulation monitor, and even my new Icom R75 receiver is all supposed to be in a rack.... and off the desk.... (more expirimentation room!)

Well, my wife finally got sick of it and said "why don't you just DO it then!?? "

I took that as my cue to play !!! So... I did...!!
