Here is a nice example of a current Class-E AM Broadcast Transmitter in the 500 Watt Power Range with PWM modulator. 500 Watt Carrier Output 522-1705 KHz. 145% Positive Peak Modulation Capability. Mounts in 19 inch rack. 24.5 inches high weighs 85 lbs. BE also has a nearly identical size 1KW transmitter the AM1-A Powermizer. The AM1-A weighs 90.5 lbs. Image

Wow, look how simple it is, I wonder how the device is tuned, it has no loading and tuning capacitors knobs mounted on the front.

Bill,

Class-D broadband PA.

Pre-tuned to the end users operating frequency at the factory.

Though any competent tech can re-tune in the field.

Depending how far up or down the band you wish to go will of course determine output filter C & L values. There may be other internal fine voltage adjustments when changing frequency as in the Nautel 5Kw I have here.

I don't need to tell you that these boxes are all rock bound.

The market very tough at the moment so you'll find a 500w box for well under 10K US. In fact you'll get yourself a Kw for under 10K.
