Hello all,
Well I am new to this. I am planning on building my self a transmitter. So I decided to start with the VFO first. Now for the question. I have been doing some research on the IC's. I would like a second opion on what I have matched up.
U3-74AC112 = CD74AC112E
U4-74AC14 = SN74AC14N
U5-74AC00= SN74AC00N
IXDD414CI= IXDD614CI Got this one from the forum

Paul,

Regarding the AC parts, The prefix is often unique to a certain manuacturer. The suffix usually the package -- number of leads, lead configuration and package material in some cases. These may vary by specific manufacturer, especially regarding the prefixes.

Did not realize that the IXDD414 had been replaced by the IXDD614. The new part must be better in some way. Will study the datasheet. GL, Vic

The IXDD614 and the IXDD630 are now being manufactured by Clare, which is just a different division of IXYS.

I think the specs of the 630 are different than the IXDD430 which according to Steve did not work as well as we would think.

Looks like digikey may have them.

On the ICs listed above.... most important is that they are all the same logic family ( "AC")

To Vic,
I don't know what to say.... I wasn't intentionally ignoring you. :-)
I appologize
But do have a new email addy
kf1z@myfairpoint.net
I still have parts, but no time to populate boards.....

Hi Bruce,

I did notice that you had fled Huhes.net, and a PM was rejected with a very strange advisory tag -- perhaps also because of an e-mail address change.

YES, know that you are very busy.

On the PWM boards, believe that mine are fairly early (all that CL E stuffis at a remote site), and may need come changes to make them current. So had thought that you would be a great person to make any changes, and stuff them, as you had followed any rev. history, and would know what needs to be done.

Believe that there are some additional pics on the other classeradio site, which will help someone like me do a better layout, than just winging it.

Have fun, Bruce with your new endevors, and thanks for the new e-mail address.

Some additional ATC caps would help, and there was some thought that there might be a form of group purchase. I could use 1000 pf and a few more 470 pf ATCs. Thanks, VIc

All look good, and all in stock at digikey. :-)

Arrow has the best prices on the IXDD614 that I've found - $3.25 each. They do have them in stock!

Thanks Steve,
i will check them out. i never dealt with them. I am kinda hoping when I get this section done you would have some PWM boards ready.this is going to be a fun project. I will post pictures when I get well under way with this.

Dear Paul,

I just substitute test one IXDD414CI for a IXDD614CI, it's driving a APT5024BLL in 7.2Mhz. It's working very good at this time.
