Source for rack-mount boxes, and stand alone boxes

Postby kf1z » Wed Feb 21, 2007 6:18 pm

Found a site I though everyone might want to see.....

They sell a darn good selection of rack enclosures...

Some are steel, with aluminum front panels (almot the same as "circuit specialists" except less $$).

And then a range of All Aluminum cabinets...
They look pretty good, and the prices seem VERY good....

The stand alone "amplifier" cases are made of .09" aluminum base, and .06 "cover". and have a selection of front panels (different thicknesses)

They do cnc machining of meter holes and the like.....
And will do silkscreening too!

I ordered some stuff from them, and will report back here with comments on quality etc.

I'm excited about tis, because I've spent HOURS of "googling" to find a site like this, and have only foud industrial computer suppliers who get BIG $$$$ for they same darn thing.....

Anyhow, the addy is http://www.par-metals.com

Also found a neat metal supplier, who "specializes in small quantity, cut to order metals....
Cold rolled steel, stainless, aluminum, brass etc....

That's a fun (but slooowww site on dial-out ) site!!

That one is http://www.allmetalsinc.com

Have fun!!!

Hi Bruce,
The par-metals link is not working for me. Can you hit their server with it? Perhaps the server is temporarily off line.

Thanks, Karl
