For sale: $2.99 - IRFP450 500V 14A MOSFETs

hi guys,
here's the sob-story: I'm selling IRFP450 MOSFETs in order to scrounge some money for a 'proper' oscilloscope (I'm working at 13.56MHz, and trying to move up to 27.12MHz. Although my toy Labtech 20MHz scope still triggers, I can't see any harmonic content, and the timebase tells lies). Perhaps with the new scope, I'll blow up fewer MOSFETs and will be able to tinker my class-E contraptions with fewer tearstained semis before bedtime :?

Please read the small print.

The IRFP450 is a 500V, 14A device.
I'd like to sell them for USD$2.99 per MOSFET.
They are genuine International Rectifier MOSFETs, not ST etc and come with handy free stuff. *1

I'm happy to ship them anywhere in the world, it won't cost more than a few dollars. *2
If you live in the Sydney CBD, I'll deliver them personally by bicycle for free. ^_^

I don't know where you guys get your bits, but here's what some of the competition sells them for:
    USD$3.73 from allied electronics
    USD$4.00 from mouser
    USD$11.27 from farnell
    USD$6.61 from digikey

I can Direct Deposit within Australia, or PayPal from anywhere. *3

Cheers, and to a better oscilloscope! :-)

Are there any Australians on this board? You guys have first pick because it's hard to get parts like this within Aus.

*1 - I will include a complimentary laserprinted datasheet AND colour-laserprinted gate-drive guide for your convenience.

*2 - And the first responder will get free worldwide shipping. :D

*3 - If you pay by credit card, I'll receive a theoretical negative discount with compliments from paypal, as account gets ripped off for merchant fees, but I won't charge you extra, because I'm a sook.

Steak-knives and weight-loss guide are not included.

Blackplasma:

As far as Class E at 27Mhz, the IRFP32N50K should work well in Push-Pull
at 27Mhz. It has a feedback capacity of less than 1% of it's input C.
and is twice as large as the 450.

Thanks Floyd,
not aiming at 27.12MHz just yet; just trying to flog these 450s to fund a proper oscilloscope. But, at that point I just might be crazy enough to have a go at the 10m band with a discrete gatedriver (no DEIC420s to be seen around here).

I'll check out the IRFP32N50K datasheet, thanks.

hi all,
I've put these same MOSFETs on eBay, available as a batch of 32, nice and cheap:

Tell your friends ;-)

You could also try selling them as a lot..
Dutch Auction I guess they call it. Allow people to buy as many as they want until they're all gone. (Might even make more profit on shipping! )

I couldn't get eBay to select any quantities other than "1"... grrr -- I bet the interface behaves differently between firefox and internet explorer, etc... :-/

And yeah, perhaps in future I shouldn't offer FREE shipping; but it just makes it so much simpler :P

hi guys, I've relisted these on eBay Australia AND eBay USA so normal people can buy them, too. :P

Arg, still can't get the 'quantity' function working... but I'm still offering free shipping, cuz I'm a sook. =P
