power supply/generator

Does anyone out there have a schematic to create a power supply that will provide an output of 500W, 20KHz, approx 1200V, and that will run from the mains. Chris B

Not sure what you would use such a thing for.

I would look at a big audio amplifier with a transformer to get voltage up to where ya need it to be. Maybe ferrite would be ok. Core should be limited by saturation, so just wind enough turns to keep flux reasonable and it should not get too hot. Just stick a function generator on input.

To build one of these from stock might be pia.

Other way to do might be class E or F

You should tell what you want it for and how many and so on.

Chris Baldwin:

Did you ever get your schematic for the 500watt offline supply?
I saw a good one on the internet and I will hunt it up if you need it.
