Finished 24 fet class-E Digital drive

Postby Brent » Sat Jun 12, 2010 10:04 am

Long time since I posted on the board. I have finished the rebuild on the old 20 fet rf deck and now have 24 with digital drive. I am using the DDS vfo that KE1GF modified for me years ago. After ironing out a few bugs its on the air and running fine.

Hi Brent

Your TX looks great...
Also noticed you use a DDS as the Oscillator and it operates at 3.885Mhz... your TX frequency...
How do you T/R switch the unit ?

Hi Wayne,
I am using a sequencer from w2drz. Very simple t/r..the same circuit that Steve WA1QIX uses in his hartley VFO schematic. Also use the relay outputs to control the HV relay for safety....relay in VFO must close before HV relay can operate. Only difference is the input to the phase splitter is supplied by the DDS VFO.
