PWM output filter

Postby Gilly » Tue Oct 13, 2009 8:40 pm

Hi everyone

Being looking at the positioning of the Cores ( CH777060's )....
In Steves WEB site and others the cores are mounted very close to the metal box...

Does this have any effect on the Characteristics of the filter etc: :?

Thanks

Wayne

Hi Wayne,

No, it shouldn't have 'any' effect.

I mount mine within 3/16" to the metal chassis, only seperated by a piece of Lexan.

The cores are pretty much "self-shielding".
