Here Bob... Have fun!

It's not really a good design because at 135V the fets are singing for their supper.

Bill,
I get LF modulated signal when I run the simulation and monitor R11 voltage. I put a labeled net on the output to see the voltage.
I will play with it and see if it is a shunt or tuning problem.

now for some strange reason the simulation is working. It ramps up from

I stuck file into library directory instead of working directory.

Yeah Frank, it takes a screamin processor and lots of ram to run the simulation.

Seems to run fb on my machine except the power level looks a little high.

I don't see any LF modulation. I do see what looks to be some kinda sampling anomoly, but I expect that.

What is the deal with l25 l26 & l27? Why not just one?

regards,
Bob

Bob I compute the values that way. 1 inductor for the flyback, 1 inductor for the series resonant portion and 1 inductor for the L network impedence match. When the rig is built all the inductances are lumped together. It's just a model, in the real world it's going to be different. But, it gives you a ballpark figure of what the values are going to be.

Here is my crib sheet.

http://www.1gflabs.com/GF_Class-E_crib-sheet.jpg

I started off with the equations from KBR SSRE but I hammered them into something useful.

Just remeber though they are generalized for 2 push-pull modules with 1:1 output transformers. The values have to be adjusted for different transformer ratios. eg 1:2. Also you have to shoot from the hip on the efficiency.

I'm running dual 2.8s with 1 g of ram. runs fine now. fc

Bob I added some labeled nets around the circuit so i could have names rather than nodes easier for my simple mind...
