I rebuild the driver of the 160 meter rig wire it back into the rack after a lot of testing. I turn it on and get a beautiful class e waveform for about 10 seconds then nothing. Today I pull it all apart and everything looks fine.
I go to test it and sure enough no drive. long story short. I use a HP VHF signal generator for a VFO and divide it by 20 in the rig with a prescaler and flip flop. The output level was set too high locking up th logic. The push pull driver was stuck and the side that was on was yanking the 12 vdc 25 amp power supply. #16 dc lead got quite hot but everything hung there.
Try again ....
